Geographically, New Mexico is a very beautiful and diverse state: from high and snowy mountains in the north to flat-top and steep-sloped hills (‘mesas’) in the middle, to flat deserts, including eyes-blinding patch of White sands in the south. It actually goes even deeper down, below the surface, in a huge and amazing system of Carlsbad Caverns. Population of New Mexico is equally diverse, from indigenous tribes still living in adobe pueblos to artisans of Santa Fe and physicists of Los Alamos. My favorite New Mexican town is its capital Santa Fe, not only because it is all adobe-built, even their Hilton, and full of nice art galleries, but also because people there are so friendly and easy-going. It is a pleasure to photographs them. The highlight of every summer and a great photo op for a street photographer is their 10-week long free live music and dancing at the Santa Fe’s historic Plaza called “Santa Fe Bandstand”.
